Auburn University’s Division of Student Affairs mobile iPad and iPhone application “Auburn Students” is an application designed to engage the Auburn student body in all that their University has to offer.
The application features several informational sections that offer a slideshow view of offerings for students in the following areas:
University traditions
Services & News provided by the University
Engagement opportunities through student organizations
Health and Wellness services and opportunities
The Student Organization finder utilizes a database of all organizations available on campus and common participants to help recommend organizations to students based on their interests and those with common interest. The organizations may provide details such as cost, meeting requirements and contact information.
The Social Timeline offers a way for the Division of Student Affairs to engage students via social media by posting conversation topics about events and opportunities around campus and allowing the student body to join in on the conversation.
Roll The Auburn Oaks is a game incorporated into the application that allows fans both near and far to continue to participate in a tradition that is uniquely Auburn. The Auburn Oaks at Toomer’s Corner has long been the site where Auburn University meets with the community to celebrate athletic victories by streaming rolls of paper through the stately oaks. Though the corner will soon see a revitalization, members of the Auburn Family can continue to celebrate Auburn victories any time at their fingertips with this application’s game.
